If fall and winter are for breakfast bowls, spring and summertime have to be for smoothies. Anything this mild and refreshing is supposed for the type of scorching climate that we’ve been having these days. It’s been within the 90s since May, so the oven is turned off, and the blender is out! This smoothie is really easy to make. I’m talking gather 6 healthy components and 5 minutes later you have a light-weight, refreshing breakfast or filling pre-workout snack.

Although I at all times promote sitting right down to eat breakfast on the deskI do know that it’s not at all times doable to take pleasure in breakfast at the house. I find yourself with breakfast at my work desk extra usually than I’d wish to admit!
This smoothie is a wholesome choice for these mornings when a grab-and-go breakfast is important.

HOW TO MAKE A FILLING SMOOTHIE

Choose advanced carbohydrates. Blueberries are our flavorful, fiber-packed fruit of selection. Add raw rolled oats for an additional creamy, filling smoothie. You gained’t even discover that they’re there!
Add yogurt for protein. Greek yogurt is a protein-rich selectionhowever vegan yogurts can even work.  For dairy-free yogurts, soy or pea milk-based choices will often have extra protein than almond or coconut-based yogurts.
Add your favorite milk. At four grams of protein per half of the cup, soy milk has the best vitamin equivalence to dairy milk. You can even attempt oat milk, almond milk, cow’s milk, or no matter type of milk you've available.
Enhance the flavor. When paired with blueberries, recent lemon juice actually pumps up the flavor. If you've additional time, I like to recommend including 1 tablespoon lemon zest for an additional kick of taste.
Grab your add-ins. Just one tablespoon of chia seeds supplies 5 grams of fiber and a pair of grams of protein. When blended into the smoothie you’ll hardly even discover this nutrient-dense ingredient is there!

CAN I USE FRESH BLUEBERRIES?

Yes! But I like to recommend both freezing the blueberries first or including in a number of items of ice to the smoothie. Otherwise, you'll simply have a chilly blended drink.
